Mary B turned SIX!!!!!

Our little Princess turned Six at the beginning of August!!! We had just gotten back from vacation and her birthday (bless her heart) always sneaks up on us!!! I knew she would want to have a party, and of course it had to be the ultimate party ( A SLUMBER PARTY!) As excited as I was for Mary B's birthday, I dreaded having seven little six year olds over for a slumber party! She begged and pleaded, and I was so torn over how the other moms (who probably vaguely remember me as the crazy woman last year dragging four kids here and there) would receive the thought of their six year old's first sleep over being at my house!!!! I just had no idea how this would all go down. The great thing is that Mary B. is a natural entertainer, so my hopes for her were very high at this point! Of course Bubba thought it was a great idea and he considered me as "being negative" to think other wise! Afterall, Chucky Cheese didn't sound so bad!
Well, the first little girl that came cried for the whole thirty minutes that her mom stuck around! At that point I was giving Bubba an evil eye!!!
BUT...To my dismay the night ended up going exceptionally well. Mary B seemed so happy to have all her friends there and to be hosting the "first" spend the night party of all her friends! We painted fingernails, opened presents, ate lots of cheetos and hotdogs, we danced... They had a blast!!! Bubba set up his projection screen on her wall and they all feel fast asleep gazing at Sleeping Beauty, Mary B. was so proud of her daddy's creative idea!!! It ended up being a great night and even Emma joined in on the slumbering!!!
It's no surprise that our little "strong-willed" highly independent, tough as nails, child has made it to her Sixth Birthday! I wanted to share one little story about her just to illustrate her GIANTIC heart...

A couple of nights ago in the middle of the night I hear a huge thud from upstairs! I, of course began to race up the steps and can hear Emma screaming! I go into their room and Mary B. is sitting up in the bed cradling Emma like a baby. She said "Mama, she fell off the bed and she wanted you, but I told her that it would be okay!" Emma was sobbing and I felt so sorry for her, but more than anything I saw Mary B's precious little heart! She could of just sat in her own bed and let Emma cry, or she could of been angry that Emma woke her up. Instead she ran to Emma picked her up and rocked her in her arms till I got there! She is such a blessing and such a sweet, sweet child!!!! I am so very proud of who she is becoming and what God is doing in her precious little heart! I know God has something so special in store for this little girl!!! WE LOVE YOU PEACH!!!!!

SO SWEET!! I love that girl. Hopefully, she was cradling Emma a little more gently than that cat years ago! Just kidding! Happy birthday to her!
