Mary B and the Chocolate Cake!

Yesterday was Mary B.'s 7th birthday! She had a great day celebrating with our huge family! Between both of our families we have 40 people! NOW THAT CAN MAKE FOR A BIG PARTY!!!! Unfortunatley, everyone couldn't make it yesterday, so that took us down to right around 27! Mary B has been waiting for weeks for this big day. Once everyone arrived I couldn't hold her off any longer... we had to open presents first, and why not?

As she continues to grow each year so do the look of her presents which can be tough for her dad and I to swallow at times! Lots of ruffles, sparkles, and bling on the clothes, nails, and accessiories for rooms! Yikes! To be honest this is an area we have to monitor well! It's funny with Mary B being the second born, she has more guts, less fear, more of a "caution to the wind" mentality! It makes for a very fun, spunky, and vibrant Mary B.! It also makes for a more cautious, "well, we will think about it" mama and daddy! 

 With that being said, the grandparents, aunts, and cousins, did a great job picking out all the things they know she loves! I think the ultimate gift of the day had to be the pink ipod shuffle from Nana and Pappaw! SHE WAS THRILLED!  

 Soon after dinner we ate Mary B.'s choice of birthday cake! We decided on a cake flavor last week, and all she wanted was chocolate cake, with chocolate chips, and chocolate icing! 

 

Is she a chocolate lover or what?! I think she really loved her cake along with everyone else in the house! Her and her cousins played all night long, laughing, painting fingernails, chasing through the yard and house, dancing to music, and eating lots of cake!

 It was so cute today watching her bop around with her earphones in. She answered questions on a much higher volume level than usual, but she had a huge grin on her face with all that bling and ruffle going on! TOO CUTE and GETTING TO OLD!!!! We have to put the brakes on! I know as she grows older she will be the one to push the limits, make us draw the lines, and completely make us question our ability to parent! She will also be the one making us all laugh, giving out all the hugs, and probably taking care of us when we get old! She has a great heart and I am so glad God made her just the way He did, she is beautiful, SHE IS MARY B.!
