Emma had a terrific fourth birthday spending individual time with each grandparent, being her normal self by picking out the "perfect" present! She got a baby alive, polly pockets, dress up, makeup, and a piggy bank! Bubba and I struggle to figure out what the perfect gift would be for our precious "mothering, I can do it by myself" third child! We strolled up and down Toys r us till Bubba said "I got it!" He then brought me over this frog habitat and I knew that was it! Emma loves all kinds of animals, all kinds of bugs, she loves worms, she loves fireflies, and she especially loves frogs! As crazy as it is she helps Isaac get the crickets on his hooks to fish! The girl has no fear! So much of our night consist of figuring out how to make a home for all the fireflies she catches!!! How fitting it was that we found a large enough home to fit all her insects, worms, and frogs! She was thrilled and the first thing she wanted to do was find some bugs to magnify and put away in her new home!
It was good birthday for Miss Emma! I have to admit that I run high on guilt not giving her a big "friend" party! She has a honest summer birthday that hits right in the middle of those summer months! Typically we have always been at the beach on her birthday, which she never seems to mind! By the looks of the day I don't think she cared who was there as long as she got to eat some of her worm cake open a few presents, and go search for new bugs!
