It has been a crazy couple of weeks but I wanted to keep you updated on what is happening in Smithville....
Izzy is now speaking full sentences as she screams from her bed every morning at 6:45 "I am done with my nap mama, get me out!" She has also managed to squeeze liquid out of every bottle in our house and some point in time this week! SHE IS A MESS!!!!
If you ask Emma for our phone number she can now spill it off with no problem, not sure if this is a good or bad thing??? She is also finding her way to our bed again at night, not sure if this is a good or bad thing???? :) She is my only child who will eat the skin off an apple, that is helpful when making lunches in the morning, thank you Emma!
Mary B. is being her regular goofy self, last night we went over some funny jokes and she asked me, "mom what do you call a pair of bananas?" me: "ummm....." Emma: " TWO Bananas, duh Mary?" (smart mouth! but kind of impressive) Mary: "No, a pair of slippers!" We all laughed!!!!!
She and Izzy are so much a like! Always having fun and typically always smiling, unless you ask her to wear something she doesn't like! ugh.... some mornings are rough! She is sooo opinionated, some days I opt out and ask for prayer, other days I am so proud a prayer God directs all that extra passion into something great!!!
Isaac has a good amount of homework every night! We are learning lots of vocabulary words and some really longgggggggg poems! It's been kinda funny to watch how Bubba has taught him to memorize... last week they came into the girls room and did a production of hand motions that Bubba had thrown together to help Isaac remember. It looked like they were in some kind of fairy dance or something. We laughed pretty hard and Isaac got a 100! He is doing great and looking forward to basketball season....
So this is our last official week as a regular family as we start basketball season on Friday! I think I am ready for the change and looking forward to a new year of coaching attire, smelly bags, extra large boys in my home, tired mornings from staying up to late cheering for daddy, and a hubby who stares at me as I speak knowing full well he is in a totally different world!!!!
Fun at the dock with friends!
Nashvegas!
Homework and chores!!! Our favorite things!
Schedules.....
trouble brewing...
Skating while putting dishes away, yes I am crazy! Even if I break a dish or two, four hand and two skates accomplish more than two hands!!!
Laundry is piling... Gotta go!
