Halloween 09

We have had a great week of celebrating Halloween! The kids are high on Snickers, Milky Way, and Butterfinger... oh no, wait that's me!!! Needless to say, the kids have had their fair share of treats. I am finally sitting down in a quite house after the school festival Thursday, school parties Friday, and our own Halloween party (thanks to the Woffords help) and trick or treating on Saturday! It was so fun but... WE ARE BEAT!!!!!
I have some sweet pictures of the our kids and some of their precious friends!

We did have a little bit of a revolt on Thursday before the festival, and the cute Snow White costume that Mary B was set to wear was suddenly thrown to the side for her 4 year old Wonder Woman costume... DON'T ASK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness for black leggings because Mary B. has grown quite a bit since she was four and we were running low on ideas! Daddy got home from practice just in time to calm a ticking time bomb!!!! She played the part perfectly until the very end of trick or treating where we made a pit stop at our A.D's house for a band aid! Wonder Woman's boot are not Durabuilt!!!

Emma was Tinker Bell! She wore a single bun for her PMO party, but we found that it stayed up much better with two buns and large amount of glitter spray! She also insisted on wearing a little "play" makeup, which I insisted on helping her with!!! (refer back to previous blog) Her costume was topped off with none other than a pair of shiny rain boots, surprised?? She preferred to ride in the wagon with a few of her friends as we made the rounds trick or treating, THAT WAGON SAVED THE NIGHT!!! She really did great and loved the marshmallows at our party Saturday!

Little Isabelle wore our "Lady Bug" costume for the third and final time! Oh brings tears to my eyes! I think I have a picture of all the girls in that costume, at some point I am going to find all their pictures and put them up together! The Lady Bug costume is defiantly going in the Baby Keepsake box! Izzy did great every night she was out... Bubba and I both compared our Halloween outing from last year to this year, and it has gotten SOOOOOO much easier! A reminder to me how quickly they change and phases pass, once again! Although she never actually got to a door to trick or treat, nothing has stopped this child from taking her brother and sister's candy! That comes honestly... from her daddy!

Isaac decided he was going to be dressed in his same costume from last year, which was Darth Vador! I think he feels pretty powerful in all black and we gave him a special mohawk hair do for the big school festival Thursday night! Our friends, the Castleberry's, were in town for the weekend and Isaac spent most of his time down at the Wofford's with Jack, Jackson, and Christian! I think Isaac came to our Halloween party (ha!), but then left again with the boys to go trick or treating! Just today I finally asked him if he liked living at our house, he politely said "Yes," but I am starting to wonder?!
Charlie also enjoyed his first Halloween! We bought him a little pumpkin t-shirt and Emmawas sure to keep him involved in all our activities! He loves playing in the mounds of leaves in the front yard! He also got his nose in the left over chili bowl, which was a big treat!

This morning (Sunday) Bubba took Isaac deer hunting because it is "youth day"... there's always something! ha! Just kidding! Isaac was so excited wait to go hunting with Daddy! They had a blast and Isaac (all by himself) shot his first deer!!! When Bubba called me he said, "Cortney, I nearly cried when he shot that deer!" Bubba said after Isaac shot it they both hugged and jumped up and down! HOW SWEET!

Speaking of sweet, the girls and I got up this morning and ended our Halloween weekend with a trip to the Waffle House!!! Our favorite place! (No picture necessary!!) It was really fun just to spend time with my girls. We have decided that "the girls" (Mary B (6), Emma (3), Izzy (17mo), and I (25) what?) are going to plan our own beach trip for Spring Break 2014. We think that Izzy will be old enough at that point not to eat sand, and we are leaving the boys (daddy and Isaac) at home! Mary B., I know, will never let me forget this idea/ "promise," so I minus well just go ahead and book the rooms!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 09!!!!

Looks like fun...great pictures! :) That is so cute about the guys and their hunting trip...I can't believe how big he is getting! It definitely does seem to get easier as they get a little older, in some ways at least. :) haha.
