Isaac turns eight years old on the 22 of this month! I still sit there and wonder how and when I got an EIGHT year old!!!! I can remember when he was just little bitty boy running around the Hampden-Sydney gym chasing balls and just hoping to touch that big huge hoop! He now can shoot the ball in the hoop and boy does he love it!

It's tough when you have birthday in December because it can get mixed in there with Christmas. Isaac is one of the lucky kids who has a mom who lives off of guilt, so his birthday can sometimes linger on from November (depending on when we throw a friend party) all the way to the day of this birth with another cake and presents to open and explore!!! It is quite ridiculous how much we do celebrate his birthday, and I know for a doubt he can never say he was cheated!!!! Before this party Daddy took him and his best friend Jack, along with Jack's Dad Jim to the Predators Hockey Game for a guys night! They had a great night together eating Barbque (thanks Jim) and watching the fights go down on the ice. We thought we got out good with that night until Isaac mentioned wanting to celebrate with friends!!! So you know me.... we decided to throw a very casual boys get together, which included a big debut by our Sewanee Tigers! The boys loved it!!!!
I was at home anticipating the boys arrival back from the gym. I had decorations ready, presents wrapped, and cake set! Then I heard a faint scream from the dining room where Sophie, our precious neighbor and friend, let me know that Izzy had just dove into ISAAC'S CAKE!!!!!
These kind of situations have become quite normal in our home, I proceeded to calm myself before I even entered the room. THEN I RAN AND GOT MY CAMERA!!! If you don't know Izzy, unlike all our other children *cough, cough*, she is very active!!!! So instead of getting angry I have found a new way to handle my stress, it's called CAPTURE THE MOMENT!!!! WHY NOT???? I then proceeded to fix the cake and clean Izzy up just in time for some wild and crazy 7 and 8 year olds to run through my house!
They had a great time eating and playing (chasing Mary B. was one of their favorite activites!) Do I have my hands full with these two growing up together or what? At the end of the night Isaac had one gift left to open.... He had been begging for the new DSi! We had let him know that he would have to put all his money together for his birthday just to get it. We surprised him at the end of the night by having it there and ready for him to play! HE WAS SO EXCITED!!!

Isaac has had a great birthday month! We love Isaac and we love celebrating his birthday, sometimes it's big and sometimes it's small but it is always celebrated!!!! He is becoming a precious little young man, student, and athlete. He absolutely loves being at practice with daddy and loves for Bubba to teach him new skills! We are officially starting him and Mary B in basketball this year! Guess who Isaac's coach will be.... ME!!!!!
Of course Bubba will be there when he can (I PRAY) but when he is not there I will be taking over! FUN TIMES AHEAD!!!! Many more memories to come and many, many, more pictures!!!!! WE LOVE YOU ISAAC!!!
