"IT"

Kids went back to school today! Shockingly we got a call last night that they would be two hours late. I didn't mention this but Izzy and I have been hacking, sneezing, and sore throating it for about a week now! She has been such a trooper, but the long nights of coughing have gotten old for both of us. I was pretty exhausted this morning when I got up. I told Bubba to prepare himself because "I wasn't feeling it today!" Still not quite sure what "it" is, but either way he understood. We took the kids in two hours late, which was a nice morning of grace for the whole family! Why don't they start school at 10 anyways, and then go till about 5???? Seems like great hours to me?
I was able to accomplish some errands this morning (including the new curtain rod to replace the bent one that has been staring me in the face for days). I got a call from the school that Mary B.'s ear was hurting once again, so I went with full intention to give her some meds and send her back to class. Funny how I left there with her head in my hand and a tearful eye, very glad to be getting in my car. Came home to see Bubba walk out the door, and find cherry koolaid being poured all over my leather chair by my 1 year old! Somehow I now had three hoodleums at home and a dining room table that is absolutely over flowing with folded clothes. Still I sit here typing with at least three more loads to go! I can hear the sounds of book reports calling, spelling test announcing, legos flying, and a kid who's bottom must be wiped. By the way I am thinking that Izzy is ready for training considering the sweet gifts she continues to leave in diapers that she takes off herself!!!!
So now I am at the end of the day... a little bit of reading to the kids, a few phone calls, dishes to wash, heads to kiss, and off to bed!!!!! Somehow I found "it," I know it wasn't by my own power, but by His grace! It ended up being a pretty great day!
