A "Smith" week in review!!!

We have found that there are many great and exciting things to do on the mountain. Lots of water, woods, and imagination await! This week was full of normal Smith activites, always entertaining and worth a good laugh!
First things first, the dog was redeemed this week! He finally got the haircut he deserved all along! (Please refer back to last blog for his "before" picture!) I think he was happy I took the clippers from Bubba and we are once again proud to be his owners! ha!

So to start our week off we took a afternoon trip down to the lake to throw ball and play in the water. I loved this shot of Isaac! Look at my big boy! Can't hardly believe it!
At one point this week Isaac and Dad decided it was time to bring some enthusiasm back into the neighborhood so what else could we do but raise the zip line... about 4ft feet higher!!!!! Now my children cling to a ladder strapped to an oak tree where they stand about 10 and half feet off the ground and zip down in one piece to the other side of the yard! Crazy, I know! Isaac thought it was "pretty awesome" and I think by all the kid traffic, the neighborhood agrees! Next task for dad is to build a big wooden plank and ladder to play on!

We have had lots of snacks and treats this week, probably to much sugar! After school the kids have all dropped the backpacks and ran for the yard! We have spent lots of time playing outside and enjoying a higher water bill from extended bath time!
Izzy decided that she would finally drink milk from a cup this week. I was only able to accomplish this task after giving her two chocolate chip cookies to dip with! After the cookies were gone, she then realized she might not enjoy the milk so much!Did I mention that we locked her in the car this week! Oh yeah, I am a great mom!

We got training wheels for Emma this week as she graduated to her big sisters old bike! She has only managed to fall about three times per ride!!!! We did invest in some padding after that!
Then last weekend I discovered that the girls had developed a fun new game called "I'm the dog!" I had to take a picture of this one... We couldn't quit laughing!
The girls and I have tagged along to quite a few baseball games last week! It's been fun chasing the girls.... I mean watching Isaac play baseball! Hahahaha! No but seriously I wish they would do a way with the concession stand because I would be able to sit down a lot more. Isaac and Daddy are 4-0 going into this week! ISAAC IS PUMPED! Isaac has made some great plays and hit the ball so hard, I think he really loves playing! We have had some big victories that I think only a college basketball coach would appreciate! Most everyone else is just having a good time! HA!
So this weekend Bubba ran "our" big half marathon! I ended up dropping out for reason I won't disclose. Hahaha! Bubba, on the other hand did it!!!! I was so proud of him! He ran with my sisters and my dad, who all finished strong! I wish I had a picture of them, but I left my stinkin' SD card at home which was so utterly disappointing! I will post one soon, send one my way Lindz! We also celebrated Dad's 55th birthday this weekend, what a way to do it! The whole family came to the house after the race to celebrate!

Toward the end the weekend Mary B. had a big idea to do a lemonade stand! Remembering that it was "party weekend" up here, I thought the girls could make out pretty well! I helped them get the wagon and jugs together, they made signs and then took off for their little spot on the corner of University Avenue! Okay... I think if we map our weekends out right Susan and I could paid for the kids college through this lemonade stand!!! I think I replenished those jugs about five times! They had a blast and marketed little Emma to do a lot of the hollaring (who could resist?) After it was over they were beat and ready to stash their cash away for a rainy day!
It was a good week for the Smiths filled with some normal and not so normal events! Hope you enjoyed the view!!!
