your sovereign plan, but for the love of everything good and decent PLEASE SELL THIS HOUSE!!! So we wait... once again, still waiting! Sometimes I wonder how long we might wait? It could be today, it could be next week, we may never sell it and rent it forever!!! That happened to my parents by the way, and God has continued to show his sovereignty as they have rented that house and completely paid it off during the years while owning another one! BUT I WANT TO SELL MY HOUSE!!! I NEED TO SELL MY HOUSE!!!!I went to a coaches' wives retreat about a month ago and Barb Rosberg said something that struck me... She said praise God for the situation you're in! She said just as we love to be affirmmed and appreiciated, SO DOES OUR GOD! So here it goes, I am going to praise you Lord even if I feel our house needs to sell I KNOW YOUR PLAN IS BEST....
Things I praise you for about the house NOT selling:
umm... give me a second....
1. it's allowed me to depend on you
2. I have been in prayer more with you lately
3. we have taught the kids more about prayer through this
4. I have read my Bible more
5. we are finacially strained, which has made us depend on you more!
6. we are understanding the difference between a need and a want
7. we are understanding even more the importance of tithing
8. we have a greater appreciation for the house we are renting (five bedrooms 3 baths by God's grace)
9. we have been able to be blessed by others
10. Bubba and I have come closer together as a couple through prayer and time in the word
11. we have began to recognize our dependence on you even more
12. you have taught me so much about worry and control (how you are and I am not)
13. you have allowed me to see what real hurt is (selling a house is not one of them)
14. you are teaching me about joy in all circumstances!!!!
15. you have opened up lots of conversation with people who are needing prayers answered just like us!
I think I could probably keep going if I wanted to, but I will stop there for now. In the mean time I thought of this song "Blessed Be Your Name," it reminds me of a couple we met at FCA camp who lost their very sick little girl after years of treatment. She was never suppose to live as long as she did! The doctors gave the little girl a year at most, SHE LIVED NINE YEARS!!! I will never forget the mom saying that it broke her heart to loose their daughter, but they were so grateful for the time they had with her. They know their relationship with God was forever changed through the wonderful, yet saddening experience of gaining then loosing their little girl! They chose to find the blessing in a tough situation, and they gave God all the glory! A really precious story and very encouraging to me!
On a lighter note: Lord, thank you for my husband who gave me a moment to myself! When I was done blogging he said "quick grab your camera, the kids are playing in the mud!" ha!

Good thought...thanks for sharing! :D LOVE the pictures in the mud...I won't let Merrick see because he'd be rather jealous. There are several awesome mud puddles in the yard that he would love to make use of. ;) haha.
