MUD PIES!!!

Okay so after we didn't clean up the mess in the front yard, Emma and I decided we would make some mudpies yesterday! Living in Sewanee gives me a sense of nature, I don't know if it's just being around so many trees, being around people who outfit themselves in mostly Patagonia, NorthFace, and Keens, or it's the fact that we are truly out in the middle of no where??? With that being said, Emma and I played in the mud for about an hour or two while Izzy had an afternoon nap. Later on after school, we had Ellen and Max over from next door and played another 2 two hours making many mudpies and acorn stew (Mary B named that one). The weather was really great yesterday, and again today, it felt a little like fall! I use to love fall... before I married Bubba! Now I love spring thanks to Basketball season! Although, I do still perfer fall weather, and a brisk walk with Izzy and Charlie this morning was really, really nice! Emma is in preschool today, and this is my opportunity to maximize my time (MY TO DO LIST, that by the way, never ends!) I have found at times, that I can get so preoccupied with a list that I loose sight of what's most important... HAVING FUN WITH THE KIDS!!!!
